Trained at the Royal Danish Academy and the Bartlett. Six years at Lundgaard & Tranberg before founding the practice in 2017. Teaches one day a week at the Academy. Leads the residential work.

Practice, method, people
Hagen Atelier was founded in 2017 by Liv Hagen and Mads Sorensen, after years between them at Aart, Lundgaard & Tranberg, and David Chipperfield in Berlin. The studio is in a converted print shop in Norrebro.
We work small on purpose. Every project has one of the two partners as lead, with the same person on the drawing board, in the planning meetings and on site - not a junior handed over after the brief.
We don't compete on fee. We don't pitch on speculative renders. The way to start a conversation is to email or visit; we'll meet you on site if we think we can help, and recommend someone else if we can't.
